Consolidated B-24J Liberator N224J Witchcraft at Deer Valley, Arizona on April 13, 2016. Its construction number of is 1347. Its original Army Air Force serial number was 44-44052. It was delivered to the Royal Air Force as a Liberator B. VII. After its tour of duty in the RAF it was transferred to the Indian Air Force. In the 1970s, it was used as a training aid by the IAF technical college at Jalahalli, India. Warbirds of Great Britain Limited, Blackbushe transported it to England aboard a Heavylift Belfast in May 1982. The Collings Foundation bought it in 1986 and returned it to flightworthy status in August 1989. Its civil registration is N224J.
Brian Lockett is a photographer specializing in panoramic landscape and aviation photography. He started with a Kodak Brownie in the 1960s. He got his first 35mm camera in 1973 and had a lengthy addiction to Kodachrome. He transitioned to digital photography in 2004. Brian's territory is the American Southwest, primarily Arizona, California, and Nevada. Brian has long engaged in panoramic landscape photography. In recent years he has used a Gigapan robotic camera mount to make extremely high resolution, very wide angle pictures assembled from hundreds of images. Some of his pictures exceed 2 billion pixels.
