Mount Whitney and the Whitney Portal Road. Mount Whitney is the tallest mountain in the continental United States with an elevation of 14,497 feet. The Whitney Portal Road was made famous in the climactic chase scene at the end of the Humphrey Bogart movie High Sierra. This picture was assembled from almost 200 frames and has a field of view of about 150 degrees. It is available as prints as large as 48" x 72" at 300 pixels per inch.
